1) A good graphic design is a composite of all the ingredients be it graphics , fonts, placement & effects etc.

2) Graphics plays an important part of the design wether it is hand made or photographic scene. They should be based on the design theme.

3) Font plays an important part of the design. Choosing a font is a very crucial aspect of the design. You can also create your own fonts that is by editing the fonts.

4) A design should always be balanced (most of the times) i.e all the objects or components of the design should be properly aligned. Though it can be irregular as well. Moreover all i can say that the design should blend with the theme.

5) If design contains some effects. It should also be paid attention as to make them more realistic.

6) The design should be complete in itself. That is there is no empty spaces in the design. The design should always speak on its own.
