1) A website is an organisation identity to the outside world .Web design is more or less similar to graphic design. A web design is more or less like a newspaper where you have content to be incorporated with the graphics.

2) A good web design should have good amount of graphics wether hand made or photographic. The graphics are stored in a compress format (like jpg , gif ,png) so that they are easier to download.

3) A website must have content with the graphics. A good amount of colours is good for the design . But it should not be very fancy because it represents the seriousness of your business.

4) Content plays an important part of the design. You should have excellent content for your website which prompts the visitor going through your website. The content should be balanced with use of various types like bold, underline or italics.

5) Font plays an important role in the website. But the font should be there in the user machine. Downloading a font and then viewing it doesn't look nice for a website.

6) A website also contains some animated features like javascript , flash etc which maked them more appealing. It contains animated banners to make them more happening at times.

7) A website should be balance in itself with no unusual scrolling , no grammitical errors or spelling mistakes. It should be complete in itself having all the essential components we discussed.
